Masao Orihara's journey into the world of professional wrestling began in the late 1980s, with his first match taking place on November 28th, 1989. Little did anyone know at the time that this technician would go on to carve out a remarkable career, leaving an indelible mark on the sport.

Born on June 15th, 1969, in Oura City, Gunma Prefecture, Japan, Orihara's early life was marked by a strong affinity for martial arts. His passion for Ringen, a Japanese grappling style, laid the foundation for his future success in the wrestling ring. As he entered adulthood, Orihara's focus shifted to professional wrestling, and he began training under some of Japan's most respected coaches.

By the early 1990s, Orihara had established himself as Gekko, a pseudonym that would become synonymous with his in-ring style – a blend of technical grappling and aerial attacks. His versatility earned him spots in various promotions, including World Wrestling Entertainment, New Japan Pro Wrestling, and All Japan Pro Wrestling.

As the years progressed, Orihara's reputation grew, and he began to adopt new ring names. Iga, Sasuke The Great, Secret Sasuke, and eventually Tompachi became synonymous with his unyielding spirit. His signature moves – the Ori Driver (Jumping Piledriver), Tompachi Lock, Michinoku Driver II, Moonsault Press, and Spider German Suplex – left opponents reeling.

In 2003, Orihara took a significant step by venturing into promotion, joining the ranks of World Wonder Ring Stardom.
