The main event of the evening saw Sami Zayn facing off against a field of five opponents (Bronson Reed, Chad Gable, JD McDonagh, Ricochet, and Shinsuke Nakamura) in a WWE Intercontinental Title #1 Contendership Gauntlet Match.

What followed was an absolute war, with all six competitors giving it their all. Zayn proved to be the dark horse of the match, eliminating Reed at 5:30 minutes before taking down Gable at 7:15 minutes and McDonagh at 9:20 minutes.

In a shocking turn of events, Zayn then dispatched Ricochet at 34:45 minutes, setting up a showdown with Nakamura. In an incredible display of strength and endurance, Zayn managed to eliminate the Japanese ace at 41:28 minutes, securing his spot as the #1 contender for the WWE Intercontinental Title.
